7-79. REAR INTERVEHICULAR 24 VDC (12 PIN) CABLE REPLACEMENT

Tool Kit, Genl Mech (Item 44, Appendix C)
Goggles, Industrial (Item 15, Appendix C)
Materials/Parts
Ties, Cable, Plastic (Item 76, Appendix D)
Lockwasher (4) (Item 102.2, Appendix G).
WARNING
Wear appropriate eye protection when
working under vehicle due to the
possibility of falling debris.
Failure to
comply may result in injury to personnel.
a. Removal.
NOTE
Remove plastic cable ties as required.
(1) Disconnect connector J53 (1) from connector P53R (2).
(2) Remove four nuts (3), lockwashers (4), screws (5), and
rear intervehicular 24 vdc cable (6) from vehicle.
Discard self-locking nuts.
b. Installation.
(1) Install rear intervehicular 24 vdc cable (6) on
vehicle with four screws (5), lockwashers (4), and
nuts (3).
NOTE
Install plastic cable ties as required.
(2) Connect connector J53 (1) to connector P53R (2).
c. Follow-On Maintenance.
Connect batteries (para 7-48).
