11-8. REAR BRAKE AIR CHAMBER REPLACEMENT (CONT)
b. Installation.
(1) Install collet nut (1) on front air chamber (2) to bottom
of threads.
WARNING
Adhesives, solvents, and sealing com-
pounds can burn easily, can give off
harmful vapors, and are harmful to
skin and clothing. Keep away from
open fire and use in a well-ventilated
area. If adhesive, solvent, or sealing
compound gets on skin or clothing,
wash immediately with soap and water.
Failure to comply may result in injury
to personnel.
(2) Apply antiseize compound to threads of front air
chamber (2).
WARNING
Ensure front air chamber is caged
prior to installation. Failure to comply
may result in injury to personnel.
CAUTION
Ensure front air chamber is installed with
fitting ports positioned up.
Failure to
comply may result in damage to
equipment.
(3) Install front air chamber (2) in plunger housing (3) until
it bottoms.
CAUTION
Loosen front air chamber no more than
one full turn. Failure to comply may result
in damage to equipment.
(4) Loosen front air chamber (2) until fitting ports are up.
(5) Tighten collet nut (1) against plunger housing (3).
